Reincarnation
I do
believe in reincarnation. However, I do not believe in static
reincarnation, where a soul that dies is simply reborn again in the
same or even a different species. For example: A man dies
and then comes back in his next life as a dog, then dies as a dog and
comes back in his next life as a fish, then dies and comes back in his
next life as a man.
My friends who know me have dubbed my views on it the "Ball of Clay"
theory of reincarnation. I believe that when we die, our souls
return to a melting pot of sorts. Say you have a man, a dog, and
a tree. When each dies, the souls of them are then rejoined
together and remolded into new things. Parts from that man form
other men, dogs, trees, and so on. So the life lessons of that
soul are spread out among all, and all are interconnected.
This leads to flashes of images from old lives, and quite possibly two
people actually sharing in the same past life somewhere down the
line. Only when our core soul has moved through enough lifetimes
to touch every other core in some way do we find true enlightenment.
